Food, Fun and Games for kids of all ages await you at the 2014 North East Firemen’s Cherry Festival. The festival, celebrating 69 years this year, is slated to be bigger and better than ever. With our NEW midway and return of classic fair fare, there is simply no way to go wrong!!

The 2014 festival will feature a NEW midway provider, Bates Brothers Amusements. Bates Brothers was formed in 1965 in Wintersville, Ohio. With exciting, ultra-modern rides, a friendly and professional staff, and exceptional value, we are certain you will be impressed with our choice.

And what would the Cherry Festival be without the pies, fries and delicious sausage sandwiches? The Ladies Auxiliary will again be selling their delicious cherry pies and ox roast sandwiches. Piping hot, fresh cut curly fries will be available at the fry barn, and the original Cherry Festival Sausage Sandwich will be served hot, on a freshly cut roll, at the Sausage Tent. In addition, sweet-tooth-satisfying cotton candy will be available at the Cotton Candy tent. With all these delicious choices, we are sure you will find something for you at the North East Firemen’s Cherry Festival.

Please join us on Thursday at 6:30PM for the annual Cherry Queen crowning! After an intensive selection process, the Queen will be selected in front of friends and family and take over reign on the Heard Park Main Stage.

Bands, Floats and Emergency Equipment of all shapes and sizes will take over downtown North East on Saturday at 4pm. Join us for “the largest volunteer firemen’s parade in Pennsylvania” and enjoy several drum and bugle corps, high school bands, professional bands, floats, classic cars, and emergency equipment at the “Summer of ’69 Parade”.
